Staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Library building is very beautiful, even fashionable, so Victorian and attractive. Inner premises are also very spacious, very high ceilings etc. If you have Glasgow Libraries membership card, it doesn't work at Rutherglen Library because there is another county - South Lanarkshire, but you can register new form and become a member of all South Lanarkshire Libraries. Wi-fi is free, free computer for 2 hours (in Glasgow - 1 hour), printing: simple printing - 0.20 per 1 A4 leaf and 0.70 per one colourful A4. And undoubtedly - plenty of fine books!
Fabulous facility, wee community frequent library and they are so interesting and friendly, get a laugh too.Lots of activities for adults and kids, so different from the 50's when I first used this library....quiet please, shhhh..... not any more, thank goodness. Library is special because the staff are great, Julie and her team go out of their way to help you, whether it is ordering books or explaining the various sessions.they go that extra mile. Well worth a visit, atmosphere, welcome, facilities all first class. UPDATE March 14th 2018 You know this library gets better and better...the Manager Julie is terrific and supports Poetry Readings/ Groups, Fledgling Writer Group, Burns Afternoon and that is just a few initiatives the staff have supported recently, I love the way they are open to new ideas and just think they are really 'special' so than you all for everything you do for your Users.
Really nice and helpful staff. Use every time in emergency when my printer is playing about.
