Very good selection of carpets and flooring

Those first couple of bad reviews sound like they were posted by the same person with a grudge Anyways a few months back, I got exactly the carpet I wanted for my hall at a great price. I also ordered underlay but discovered when I lifted my old carpet, a few days later that my underlay was still okay. I phoned and explained and they said it was fine and they would deduct the price from the carpet, even though they had probably already cut it. No fuss or hassle. A friendly, laid back and helpful guy who I think was the owner, served me and dealt with the underlay refund. . Going to have a look for a living room rug there next week. 19/12/2018 I went back into the store today for a living room rug and again got a lovely one at a great price. The owner who I now know is Vince the owner, is friendly, helpful and not at all pushy. He also called a taxi for us. Love this store
Called in to this shop on Saturday 17th November to look for carpet options for my mother's house. I asked the guy working there, who may have been the owner, if they gave out samples, only to be told in quite a rude way that he could order me a sample board (or book?), but it would cost 25.00 ("we used to do that but people would never bring them back!" he said). Fair enough I thought but was surprised at the way he spoke to a potential customer. Next I had a look around, found a sample board which I thought gave some good options for what I was looking for. I took out my phone to take a photograph of the sample board and within seconds the guy was barking at me "no photographs either! If you want a carpet you come in here to see them but your'e not taking photos in here!!!" I have to say firstly that his manner in speaking to me was way over the top and extremely rude. I quickly and calmly told him that I thought that this was a load of nonsense and left, but he continued barking at me as I left. This company clearly have serious customer relations issues and I would recommend the owner (if he was) that he go on a training course on anger management. I was genuinely shocked that he thought this was ok. The funny thing is that they seem to have a website, where you can see photographs of the carpets in stock - why didn't he just tell me that? Anyway, to get to the point I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here. The guy is a nutter and doesn't deserve anyone's business. Instead I went to J&W Carpets, 3 Rutherglen Road, Glasgow G73 1SX. I told them about the guy in Carpetware and we had a right laugh about him. They said they had never heard such a story like this before and that I could take as many photographs as I wanted in their place, which I did and will be arranging that my mother's house is fully carpeted soon They were polite and very helpful and their prices were very good too. Beware the NUTJOB in Carpetware! There should be an option to put minus stars, as one star really isn't deserved. I would instead give Carpetware minus 10 stars for terrible customer relations.
